Check the applicable CCNL
The CCNL can specify whether a 14th salary exists, its accrual period and its payment date. Industry, job level and qualification can also matter. Do not use an estimate before checking the agreement that governs your employment.
How the estimate works
When the payment exists, the orientation formula is similar to the 13th salary: useful monthly pay multiplied by accrued months and divided by twelve. Part-time work can reduce the useful base.
What to read on a payslip
Check the dedicated payment line, accrual period, calculation base and deductions. If the amount does not match the CCNL, ask payroll for a written explanation.
