The twelfths method
A simple way to orient yourself is to divide the useful monthly payment into twelfths: each accrued month represents one twelfth. The calculator lets you enter accrued months and part-time percentage, but it cannot interpret every absence rule automatically.
Which pay should be used?
The correct base is not always take-home pay or the latest payslip amount. Fixed pay, superminimo, allowances and absences can follow different rules. Check the applicable CCNL and the employer’s documentation.
Gross and net 13th salary
The online estimate is gross. The 13th salary may have deductions that differ from an ordinary month, so applying one universal percentage to obtain net pay is not reliable.
Frequently asked questions
Does a month started halfway through count?
It depends on the threshold and the applicable CCNL. Enter the months recognised by your contract.
Does part-time work change the 13th salary?
The useful pay base is normally linked to working time, but changes during the year must be reconstructed.
